COVID-19 Health & Safety Update

To Our Pearl Hotel Guests:

We’re Looking Forward to Welcoming You Back! Taking care of one another – that has long been The Pearl Hotel way. And like the rest of the country, we are getting used to a new normal of living – and traveling. As we reopen our doors, our promise to you remains the same: a hospitable, comfortable, beautiful and relaxing stay for you and your loved ones. 

We are now accepting reservations and are extending refundable rates for new bookings within the hotel’s cancellation policy timeframe of two weeks. Given the fluidity of the situation, we will continue to adapt our procedures as needed. Please refer back to this page frequently for the most up-to-date information.

OPERATIONS UPDATE 
We continue to uphold the highest sanitation and guest-servicing standards for our Forbes four-star property. Additionally, we have adjusted our hotel operations in accordance with guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and State of Florida, including but not limited to:

  • Enhanced property-wide sanitation procedures and frequency

  • Enhanced housekeeping protocol

    • Daily room cleaning and turndown services are not available, in an effort to limit guest/staff contact during hotel stay. Clean towels, amenities refresh, and trash removal is available and may be scheduled through the Front Desk, during a convenient time when guests will be away from their room.

  • Property-wide access to hand sanitizer

  • Physical-distancing procedures in all communal spaces, including beach access

    • Guests are prohibited from gathering in common areas of the hotel. The hotel Business Center/ Concierge Desk will be closed until further notice.

  • Restriction of gatherings to 10 people or less

  • Touchless entry to hotel and hotel facilities, when possible

  • Restricted seating in pool areas and at hotel restaurants

  • Making mask and gloves available to guests, upon request

  • Thermal temperature controls for all of our team members and guests, as needed

  • Extensive Covid-19 training for all team members

BEACH UPDATE  
Please note that at this time, Walton County beaches are open on a limited basis until at least May 19 to ensure the well-being and enjoyment of all. For more information regarding travel to Walton County, please visit https://www.visitsouthwalton.com/covid-19-travel-updates.  Additionally, the Rosemary Beach® Property Owners Association has enacted an Interim Beach Policy with additional guidelines for all beaches within Rosemary Beach® through at least May 15. Please see Beach Update below for more details.

As of May 1, Walton County beaches are open with the following restrictions until at least May 19, as voted upon by the Walton County Board of Commissioners and in line with the CDC’s recommendations. Additionally, the Rosemary Beach® Property Owners Association has enacted an Interim Beach Policy with additional guidelines* for all beaches within Rosemary Beach® through at least May 15. 

  • The beach at The Pearl will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily.*

  • The only permitted beach activities at The Pearl are: sunbathing, walking, jogging, swimming, paddleboarding, boating and surfing. Fishing and sunbathing on a beach towel/blanket are not permitted.*

  • Limited beach chair/umbrellas setups will be availalable on a first-come, first-served basis.  Setups will be spaced 20 feet apart*; therefore there is an average of 15-20 beach setups available, based on tide levels.  Towels are available at the Front Desk upon request. 

  • Personal beach chairs and umbrellas are permitted. Tents are not permitted.*

  • Beach bonfires are not permitted.

  • No special events are allowed.

  • All visitors to the beach must adhere to the CDC guidelines of social-distancing, including no gatherings of more than 10 people and 20 ft*. or more* in between groups. 

  • A beach attendant will be at hand to provide hotel guests with beach access. Please note guests going to and from the beach will use different walkovers to maintain physical-distancing guidelines and avoid unnecessary contact.*

  • Beach restrictions will be enforced by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

AMENITIES UPDATES
The following outlets/amenities remain closed to guests, pending additional guidance from the CDC and the State of Florida.

  • SpaPearl
  • Rosemary Beach® Community Pools
  • Hotel's Business Center

The following amenities are currentely available to guests at The Pearl Hotel:

  • The Pearl’s Adults Only Pool (for guests ages 18 or older) is open and following physical-distancing guidelines, with limited seating spaced at least 6 ft. apart. Food and beverage services are available from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily.

  • The Pearl’s Hot Tub (for guests ages 18 or older) is open; however, due to space and distancing guidelines, no more than 4 people will be allowed to occupy it at any one time.

  • WaterSound Beach Club is open with limited access. 

  • Origins Golf Club is open for public play, from 7:30 a.m. - Sunset, Monday- Sunday (The course is closed on Wednesdays for course maintenance). Footgolf is available after 1 p.m. Tee times are recommended by calling 850-213-5090.

  • Private golf club, Shark’s Tooth, is available to Pearl hotel guests during limited hours; tee times are required in advance and are based on availability by calling 850-249-3041.

  • Complimentary bicycles are available for guest use

  • Complimentary kayak and canoe rentals are available through the WaterColor BoatHouse from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. for one hour.  Reservations required by texting 850.419.6188.  

DINING UPDATES 

    • Havana Beach is open daily and offers a limited Breakfast/Lunch from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. and a limited Dinner menu  from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. for dine-in services to be in alignment with the State of Florida's mandated regulations.

      -The restaurant is operating at a limited indoor seating capacity and maintaining physical-distancing guidelines; as well as enacting enhanced sanitation procedures, including but not limited to restricting access to self-serve condiments and utensils, suspending napkin service and tableside cooking and limited shared bar snacks.  The bar area will remain closed; Happy Hour is not available at this time.

      -Dining reservations are not accepted; seating is based on a first come, first served basis. 

      -Havana Beach Rooftop is open from 12 Noon - 8 p.m. Daily (weather permitting).  This area will maintain physial-distancing guidelines, maximum party size will be limited to 8 people, and seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis.  The bar area will remain closed; Happy Hour is not available at this time.

    • Havana Beach Curbside To-Go Dining is available from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. for Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner. Orders may be placed by calling 850-588-2882 and be picked up curbside or on the Havana Beach Veranda (please enter through the gated entrance at the Veranda).

    • Poolside food-and-drink service is available from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily.
